Indicators
Scale indicator or scale terminal is one of the most important components of any weighing system. Th escale indicator consists of a power supply, motherboard with a processor, display, keyboard, case, output ports and an additional electronic plate. Scale external casings are made from plastic, aluminum or stainless steel. Depending on its construction, a case can also have different levels of protection against dust and moisture. The least protected are casings with an IP 54 markings, while for with more residue or moisture, the cases with an IP 67 marking will be more suited. Indicators that are used in dangerous enviorments are of a special construction and their design must be according to ATEX standarts, in which case they will also receive a certificate.
Scale indicators can be with or without a built-in battery. To lower the power consumption within indicators with a bulit-in battery, will be using an LCD display. Depending on the model, one indicator can be connected with multiple sensors. The most basic of indicators, can be attached to no more than four sensors at one time. The indicator can also have many special weighing functions, such as a couning or a packaging function. The indicators can be programmed for packaging with all sorts, as long as they have a reception memory. Scale indicators can be connected to a computer, or connected directly with an ethernet. The scales that are meant for packaging, can posess exit relays, which allow for them to be attached to an automated operation system. To control the scales remotely, the indicator also may have incoming signal ports.
